Walk – walking is such a simple, free and versatile exercise. If you are a newbie when it comes to fitness, this is the perfect exercise to get you moving. Get yourself outdoors and go for a walk and then gradually increase the distance or speed each time to help improve stamina.
If you are mid fitness journey, then a brisk walk is a great active rest exercise, and may help relieve that full body ache.
You should try and make walking a habit, take the stairs instead of the lift, walk your children to and from school, hike with friends on a weekend, walk to the gym, the shop and the next bus stop. Provided you don’t live out in the sticks, these small changes are easy and manageable.
